CAFL announces partnership with leading China Digital Network, HUPU Sports

(Shanghai, 12 July, 2016)

The China Arena Football League (CAFL) has signed an official agreement with HUPU, a leader of sports marketing, media and event management in China. HUPU will work closely with the CAFL at multi-levels, including all digital platform development and operations, brand and media management. With the official announcement of approval from the Chinese government, the CAFL will kick off its inaugural season of US-style Professional American Football in China in Beijing on the weekend of October 1st and 2nd, 2016, then continuing for five more consecutive weekends in Dalian, Qingdao, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and then the CAFL Championship weekend on November 5th and 6th at the famous Shanghai Oriental Stadium.

Marty Judge, Chairman and Founder of the CAFL and Gary Morris, Chief Executive Officer of the CAFL, commented from their Beijing CAFL Headquarters, “After working very closely with the Chinese Government (China Rugby Football Association – CRFA, an association affiliated to the Small Ball Division of the General Administration of Sport of China) for the last four and a half years in successfully developing American Football at the Chinese collegiate level, we are extremely proud and excited now to start the CAFL, a professional American football league in China. Each of our six professional teams has an equal number of Chinese and foreign players competing at the highest level of American Football in China. It’s history for both America and China.”

全国美式室内职业橄榄球联赛(CAFL:China Arena Football League)与虎扑体育达成战略合作。虎扑体育是中国领先的体育营销公司,将为CAFL提供全方位数字营销及媒体管理等服务,包括为CAFL搭建及运营中国官网,并在微信、微博等社交平台与CAFL展开深度内容合作。经国家体育总局官方批准,CAFL将于2016年10月1日这个周末在北京打响中国第一个职业美式橄榄球比赛。此后,CAFL超级系列赛将会在接下来的每个周末去到大连、青岛、广州、深圳,并最终于11月5日这个周末在上海东方体育中心上演冠军争夺。相比于场地橄榄球,室内橄榄球的比赛场地较小,参与球员较少,攻防转换更快,得分更高,比赛的悬念更大。每次攻防都代表着胜负的不确定性,随着对比赛越来越熟悉,观众更容易将自己融入到比赛当中。

CAFL主席兼创始人Marty Judge先生与CAFL首席执行官Gary Morris先生对此表示:“过去的四年半,我们与中国政府(隶属国家体育总局小球运动管理中心的中国橄榄球协会)开展了紧密合作,成功地在高校层面推广发展了美式橄榄球运动。现在,我们非常兴奋能在中国举办全国美式室内职业橄榄球联赛。6支职业球队均由一半本土球员和一半外籍球员组成,这些球员都将会征战中国最高级别的美式橄榄球比赛。这对美国和中国都是历史性的一刻。”
